The Reptile Centre is continually evolving with the newest addition being the amazing Gecko Cave. It took Erica and Murray from Nature Themes almost five weeks to construct the interior of the Gecko Cave.

The Cave Room was partly funded through the Federal Government's Australian Tourism Development Program. The Hon. Fran Bailey MP, Federal Tourism Minister officially opened the Cave Room on the 5th July 2006.

The Cave Room was made the ideal location to host the Steve Irwin tribute night in September 2006. Almost $400 was raised and donated to a local wildlife rehabilitation organisation, Wildcare Inc. in memory of the Crocodile Hunter.

The Gecko Cave is the ideal place to start your visit to the Reptile Centre. Marvel at the many species of gecko on display that would be almost impossible to see in the wild, then wander through the rest of the live exhibits to get up close to the reptile fauna that dominates our vast Northern Territory landscapes that we live amongst today.
