Alice Springs Reptile Centre houses the largest reptile display in Central Australia. We have an extensive range of reptiles including the HUGE Perentie Goanna, Frill Neck Lizards, Thorny Devils and many other fascinating lizards, LARGE and small Pythons and some of the world’s most venomous snakes such as Inland Taipans, Brown Snakes, Death Adders and Mulga (King Brown) Snakes.

July 2002 saw the addition of Terry the saltwater crocodile.
Terry's exhibit offers fantastic views from both above and below the water, providing
amazing photo opportunities.

Our fantastic new Cave Room was officially opened to the public by the Hon. Fran Bailey MP, Federal Tourism Minister in July 2006. In Dec 2009 the fossils displayed in the Cave Room were replaced with a live gecko exhibit. The new Gecko Cave will eventually house the world’s largest collection of Northern Territory gecko species.
